Now having started Semester B of university, I'm now on track to finish this course in a few months, which feels slightly bizarre as education has been such a big chunk of my life but I'm excited to put my time and effort into starting a new segment of my life. After spending a couple of weeks listening to feedback and improving my showreel I finally have a new Paint&Roto reel, I am really proud of this Reel and the work that was put into it and personally feel like it is some of my best work yet.
this showreel contains work from the past couple of months as well as a couple of clips from my group project last year, this showreel shows off some new skills that I learnt and also showcases skills that I have polished whilst making it.
one of my favourite shots of this whole showreel is the ghosts clip from Peter Timberlake's website, whilst doing the roto on these ghost characters I learnt a lot about speeding up doing cloth roto, I also after finishing doing the roto I got to use this shot to test training nukes copycat tools to see how they could be used to speed up roto, I talk about this more in a different blog post here.
I would also like to say thank you to Aadel Matoorianpour, Chris Fryer, and Sebastian Brandow for helping me improve this showreel and also teaching me some really helpful tips and tricks.
